What is Strew?
Strew is an iPhone (and iPad), and Android app for Home educating parents of all types. It’s an app for tracking home ed activities which can produce reports for sharing.

Who is Strew for?
Strew is for any parent or carer who is home educating their child. It supports all common home ed styles (listed below) but is flexible enough to help log home ed activities however you like to do it.
Its reports can be used to support your reporting to learning authorities (if needed), or sending to family – but note we are in no way supposing you replace your reporting to authorities with Strew reports, and cannot be held responsible for any outcome.

What you must do
- Declare this is an ad (you can do this with a setting in TikTok – guide here)
What not to do
- Please in no way suggest Strew totally solves reporting to authorities (unless it’s explained that we say we’re not responsible)
- It’s okay if you don’t add a link (optional), but if you don’t then please mention the product name/show website/app or hint so that people ask in comments (which can help virality) then answer them there with app name (Strew) or https://strew.app
- In agreeing with our terms you agree you will not pay for views, likes, or any other interactions with your Strew promotional videos. Any such action will null and void all contracts, (and will likely get your account banned on TT!)
How we pay you for your videos
We typically pay promoters once a month, checking all the videos they’ve made for view counts and then sending payment out via PayPal. We’re super transparent to you and will include a list of what we’re paying you for in the payment/email.
Payment structure
We pay (at minimum) £2/$2 per 1,000 views or per-video/monthly. We always pay bonuses for more views as below. Please reach out if you want more info.
Bonus structure
- 50k views => $50 bonus
- 100k views => $150 bonus
- 1m views => $400 bonus
Note: Payments can be made in £ if you’re in the UK

- Your Name
- TikTok/Instagram main profile username
- Location (Country)
- PayPal email address
We’ll then get in touch and start tracking your videos to pay you.
Once you’ve filled out the form:
There’s 2 ways you can do this for us, it’s up to you which you choose.
- Use your own TikTok/Instagram profile if you already talk about Home ed stuff regularly
- Make a new TikTok/Instagram profile and “warm it up” to home-ed (this lets you keep these Strew videos separate from your main profile)
If you’re going to be promoting from your main profile, please feel free to get started.
If you want to make a new profile (also cool), here’s the steps we’d need you to take:
Making a new TikTok profile
- Make a new TikTok or Instagram profile (edu safe name)
- Search ‘home Ed’/phrases/questions/painpoints and scroll and watch 20 videos about home Ed, like comment on cool ones
- Wait 3 days then start posting your videos!
Frequently Asked Questions
What sort of videos should I make?
That’s up to you! As long as they’re in some way related to Strew and / or Home Educating then we’re happy. In each video it’s ideal if you mention the app, or hint at it then mention it in comments.
Our aim is to get home educators using Strew.
We are collecting together some tried and tested Hooks, which’ll be added to this page later. Come back here for inspo if you’d like.

Can I get the app for free to make videos about it?
Currently the app is free for a 7 day trial in the app store. If you need longer to make videos (and are going to make at least 3), please let us know and we’ll give you a coupon code to get 3 months free.

We’ll reach out to you with more details after you apply.
Really the only thing we ask is that you be conscious that our app is for a variety of home educating styles. We also may repost your videos later.
