๐Ÿ‘‹ Slow Improvements

We built Strew to be as easy, and calm as possible; to leverage technology to make our lives easier as home educating parents.

But that doesn’t stop with any app update. We’re constantly working at making Strew easier, faster, and overall more pleasant to use. Sometimes this looks like small tweaks, other times it’s big features, or just leaving good stuff alone.

Here’s what we’ve improved this month:

  • Support for Australian curriculum in Study Points
  • Colour-code your childrens’ activities
  • Use your own photos as kids avatars
  • Improved fidelity of logos and avatars
  • Better arranged sidebar designed to be easier to read
  • Reduced warnings & notifications (less nagging)

๐Ÿ’Œ Easy Sharing

We’ve listened to many of you who are sharing Strew with your friends (through refer a friend) and made it even easier to share Strew.

You can now simply open Strew, tap ‘refer a friend’ then ‘Show QR code’. This lets your friend scan your share link with their phone camera:

1. Easily Scan your friends Strew QR Code…
2. Your friend is taken to your own custom Strew share page…

๐Ÿ› 8 Bugs Fixed

We’ve had far less bug reports after last months bug-squashing flurry. That’s great news for you, and it means we can start prioritising the big updates we’re working on!

We still fixed a few:

  • Bugs in image selection
  • Bugs in subscription status
  • Bug in Android app updates
  • Bug in user login / registration on Android
  • Bug for coupon code users

โœ What’s Coming Next?

We’ve officially started work on Strew Study Points 2.0 (which will probably be given a better name). We’ve taken all of the feedback you’ve given us and now have a plan.

We’ll be working on that over August/September, alongside a few other big improvements & additions:

  • (Optional) Cloud Sync for multi-device
  • Learning Suggestions / Reflections on recent focuses
  • Bookshelf
